I think being influenced by anime and creating something new and unique is okay, but to completely rip off the tired old anime formula is when it becomes dumb.
Good observations and it amazes me how a lot of these flashes constantly make front page. Oh well... as they say: the people have spoken.

Doing anything about Mario seems to get you some instant high rank as well.
